Lake Bratan Bike Trip

“LAKE BRATAN BIKE TRIP

Pick up time 07.00 – 08.30 am

Price Rp. 650.000/person

Cycling start from Candikuning Village, about 2 km from the temple in the lake (Bratan Lake). This temple is well known as Ulun Danu Temple. Ulun means heart and Danu is lake. The temple is dedicated to the Gods of the lake or water (Danu Goddess ).

Bratan Lake is a beautiful wide lake encircled by cool temperature, clean water and calm with beautiful mountains as backdrop. The view makes you want to stay there. There are plenty of traditional boats standby at the lakeside which are used by fisherman and found local people are fishing to add the beauty of this place.

After our visit at the local market, where they sell any kind of fruit, vegetables and flowers at Bedugul, our journey will start with a little challenging road that is surrounded by green forest.

The distance from Lake Bratan to Belayu village is about 30 km and it will be a 3.5 – 4 hour by bike.

We will cycle through vegetable gardens, rice fields with beautiful views, some villages and you will see daily activities of some local people from the villages. On the way we will stop to see and explain you details about local farming, irrigation system, tropical plantation, fruit, coffee process, typical Balinese compound and significance of the building.

At Petiga Kangin village we will visit the elementary school (note: when the school is open) to see how the children study and maybe you can help them to practice their English.

We are half way our trip when it’s time to have lunch at a Balinese home. First we will get a fresh young coconut (kelapa muda) as welcome drink and Balinese lunch with pisang goreng, coffee or tea.

From Petiga Kangin we will follow Subak road (off road) until Marga village. The finish point will be in Belayu. We will offer you fresh fruit and cool towel at my house (Gusman house).

Jatiluwih Bike Trip

“JATILUWIH BIKE TRIP”

The cycling tour starts at the most popular terraced rice fields in Jatiluwih village, located in the mid north of Bali at Tabanan Regency.

Route: from Jatiluwih to Belayu Village about 30 km, length from start point until the finish point will take 3.5 – 4 hour on the road. The trip will be uphill and downhill, specially on beginning, and we will cycle via 15% normal road, 10% off road and 75% village road.

Jatiluwih the most popular and interesting place in Bali with the rice fields terracering against the background spellbinding Mountain Batukaru, located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level.
Jatiluwih was also recently listed as a UNESCO Heritage site. It’s a preservation of the traditional and organic Balinese.

We will cycle through rice fields with beautiful views, some villages and you will see daily activities of some local people from the villages.
